Time passes. The owner of the garage had a meeting with Fred and they made a new position available for Bill and he was now the assistant manager so he may learn from the manager on his journey and progress.
Bill was had now taken up Tai Chi and yoga and was studying things he had never even considered before.
Meanwhile he was fascinated by what Fred had told him regarding the owner so he had started watching him like a hawk. Trying to work out if he was a true master and if so what the difference is. The first thing he recognized was that too many coincidences happened around that guy and it just seemed too magical for want of a better word. Many things didn’t make sense about him yet somehow did. Hmmmm.
Whenever a problem came which seemed to stump the manager he would wait for the owner to come and sort it out which he did in a way which seemed to break all the rules and always seemed to make him just chuckle.
Bill needed to see this guy at work more closely to try and see how he did things so one day a particularly problematic car was there which everyone was stuck on and Bill saw the Owner was in the Office so he called him to have a look. He came out and didn’t ask any of us what the problem was but merely told me to turn on the ignition while he put his hand on the roof of the car. I did so and he said o.k. that’s enough, turn it off. He then proceeded to tell us what to do and walked off. We all thought “What? That can’t be. That won’t work, it can’t be that!” So, anyway we did what he had instructed and bam….result…car purring!
Too many occurrences to mention and as Bill thought of them they invariably were accompanied by the sound of the old boy chuckling.
“One day I will find out his secret.” Thought Bill.
One Xmas Bill was afforded the honour of accompanying the manager to the owners house for dinner. Wow, quite an honour. Could Bill behave or would his curiosity get the better of him? The latter of course!
So as they finished dinner Bill couldn’t help himself and blurted out “To me you are a master, what does it take to become a master?”
The old boy sat back in his chair with a smile on his face and everything went quiet for what seemed like an age but was only abt. Fifteen seconds then he said: You must know the true universe and you must know your true universe too young one. All vehicles are part of my universe and as such are living, alive, conscious, and are my family. As such they tell me their problems. As such we then consult the universe and the solution is provided. To be the centre of your true universe and the centre of the true universe is where you must be…….ha, ha, ha, to start! Any other questions young man?”
Bill gulped, trying to comprehend what he had just been told. Errr, ermmmm, yes, errr, just one that has bugged me for some reason. I noticed sometimes the owner of a car may be called to your office and they always come out looking very sheepish and some even shocked. For some reason that really gets my interest. What happens there?”
The old boy chuckled again and looked at Bill in such a way that Bill felt a stillness inside. The answer reached his core being. “Young one, when a car tells me it is in an abusive relationship then its owner gets a piece of my mind!”
It felt like the universe had just shaken and then Bill felt bright and found himself as if he was light and floating and happy and as he looked at the old boy and his manager all three of them sat there laughing.
